The inflation rate in Austria has reached its peak in June this year, with 3.9% – its highest level since April 1993. Diesel pump price nears P60 per liter after 20th hike in 2008

Diesel pump prices went as high as P58.98 per liter Saturday as oil companies implemented another weekend price hike. Radio dzMM's oil price monitoring report said Shell's diesel increased by P3.00 per liter at 6 a.m. Saturday. From P55.98, the company's diesel is now at P58.98. Double-digit inflation seen to last until 1st quarter 2009

The Philippine central bank's deputy governor said on Thursday that double-digit inflation was likely to persist until the first quarter of 2009.
