2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe

The 2011 Hyundai Genesis Coupe model lineup is revised following its introduction for the 2010 model year. This sporty 2-door coupe is based on a shortened version of the platform used on the Hyundai Genesis sedan (see separate report). Like the sedan, the coupe is rear-wheel drive and is available with a V6 engine.

Unique to the coupe is a 210-horsepower 2.0-liter turbocharged 4-cylinder engine. V6 coupes have a 306-horsepower 3.8-liter engine. For 2011, 4-cylinder models come as the 2.0T, 2.0T Premium, and 2.0T R-Spec; the 2.0T Track has been discontinued. V6 versions are offered as the 3.8 Grand Touring, 3.8 Track, and new-for-2011 3.8 R-Spec; the base 3.8 has been discontinued. A 6-speed manual transmission is standard on the 2.0T, 2.0T R-Spec, 3.8 Track, and 3.8 R-Spec. A 5-speed automatic is optional on the 2.0T and standard on the 2.0T Premium. A 6-speed automatic is standard on the 3.8 Grand Touring and optional on the 3.8 Track. Available safety features include ABS, traction control, antiskid system, curtain-side airbags, and front-side airbags. Track and R-Spec models have a specific sport suspension, brakes, and wheels. R-Spec Genesis Coupes are de-contented models intended for aftermarket tuning. They have the same suspension tuning, brakes, and wheels as the 3.8 Track. Leather upholstery and heated front seats are standard on the 3.8 Grand Touring and 3.8 Track. A navigation system is newly standard on the 2.0T Premium, 3.8 Grand Touring, and 3.8 Track.
