Charice, ex-American Idol contestant to collaborate
MANILA – International singing sensation Charice and a former “American Idol” contestant are set to work in a “special project” together.
Charice just got back from the United States where she is completing her first international album produced by renowned American composer David Foster. Charice is taking a break in her mini-mansion in Tagaytay.
In the coming days, she will be busy promoting her second album under Star Records called "My Inspiration."
Meanwhile, her mother, Racquel Pempengco, revealed in a separate interview that a Tagalog song composed by Jonathan Manalo will be included in Charice’s international album. The album might be released before the end of this year and will carry 10 to 12 tracks.
Aguilar drew negative reactions especially in various online forums after he slammed Charice for performing mostly foreign songs abroad.
Fans and supporters of Charice, who sings mostly Celine Dion and Whitney Houston hits, posted online their disgust and asked the folk singer to issue an apology. A defiant Aguilar, however, said he would not say sorry.
But there is no need for Aguilar to apologize, Charice maintained.
