| 20 digital films compete in Cinemalaya |

At the opening night, the film "Adela" by Adolf Alix Jr., will be shown as a tribute to veteran actress Anita Linda. The movie produced by Bicycle Pictures tells the story of a widow who feels abandoned by her children. Ricky Davao, Iza Calzado, Jason Abalos, and German Moreno are part of the cast. This year, 10 full-length digital films and 10 short films will be competing for the best representation of the theme "Anong Kwento Mo?" A full-length film will have a chance to win P200,000 plus the Balanghai trophy while the top short film will receive P100,000 during the awarding ceremony on July 20. Full-length category:
