As early as May 2008, there were talks of an upcoming movie for comedienne Eugene Domingo. But as of July, there are still no definite plans for her solo movie. "They are having difficulty with the schedule," the actress said. In an interview with Director Wenn Deramas, he said Eugene's launching movie is entitled "Demetria MD". MD means matandang dalaga (old maid). The movie will be produced by Viva Films. Asked if she wanted to be an old maid like her upcoming character in the movie, she said, "I want to have kids but I should have a man who will give me that." She added that she would want to have a child before she reaches 40.As Eugene is busy juggling her schedules in doing movies and soap (Kim Sam Soon), she said she is not rushing things for the new movie. "I am not rushing for 'Demetria... Any movie can launch you, you know, even small or big can launch you," the actress said. "I can be launched in any movie. But if you're talking about that, 'Demetria' is my major first starring or solo picture role, but I am not in a hurry for that," she said. Eugene added that at this point, she is enjoying her projects and the actors she is working with. Other than the tapings, Eugene is also part of the Cinemalaya on July 11 to 20. Eugene starred in the digital film "100" with Mylene Dizon and Tessie Tomas directed by Butch Martinez.
