De los Reyes was batting for an R-13 rating because he wants the youth to watch the film and learn lessons from it. The movie is about a crime of passion based on a newspaper account by broadcast journalist Julius Babao. "Torotot", a Viva Films presentation, tells of infidelity among couples leading to violence. According to Board member and reviewer for the film Jackie Aquino, she requested the producer to submit another print without objectionable parts. Junne Rufino, the project’s supervising producer submitted the raw edited version of "Torotot" Tuesday morning and Aquino previewed it in the afternoon. I told them to bring a new edited version. According to Junne, dadalhin niya ngayong araw na ito," said Aquino. "I hope madala agad nila for immediate evaluation," she said. Meanwhile, MTRCB chair Ma. Consoliza Laguardia also said that some parts of the film were objectionable.
