She was a sure bet for Best Actress, after all. As many predicted during the Cinemalaya 2008 film festival run, actress Mylene Dizon's searingly beautiful performance in the film '100', as a woman who accomplishes a to-do list of 100 things before she dies got the jurors' nod for Best Actress. Controversial actor Baron Geisler won Best Actor for his performance as a gay television reporter in the quirky drama, "Jay".

"100" won other awards as well, including Best Director for Chris Martinez and Best Supporting Actress for Eugene Domingo; and the Audience Choice Award.

  • Special Jury Prize - "Brutus" (directed by Tara Illenberg)
  • Best Sound Design - Lito Cruz, "Ranchero"
  • Best Original Music - Joey Ayala, "Brutus"
  • Best Production Design - Cristina Honrado, "Baby Angelo"

  • Best Director (Short Film) - Mark Reyes for "God Only Knows"
  • Audience Choice (Short Film) - "God Only Knows" (directed by Mark Reyes)
  • Best  Screenplay (Short Film) - "Andang" (directed by Rommel Tolentino
  • Special Jury Citation (Short Film) - "Angan Angan (Dreams)" (directed by Sheron Dayoc)
