Torre proudly said that he is the only Filipino artist in the film. Other foreign stars include American actor Billy Zane (Titanic), South African comedian Colin Moss (Big Fellas), Louise Barnes, British actress Cristina Cole, Natalie Jackson Mendoza who is actually Filipino-British and other stars from South Africa. "Surviving Evil" according to Torre is a must-see horror film that is directed by Terence Daw. "Actually ang setting nila is in the Philippines it's about this British documentary crew na gagawa ng istorya about the island and the natives of the island kaya lang may pagka-horror may mga aswang sa isla at ako bale ang guide nila," Torre said. The actor said that the scenes were really shot in South Africa. "Kasi imbes na dalhin nila ang lahat ng tao dito ako na lang ang binigyan ng pamasahe pero Philippines ang pinaka-setting." Torre said that doing the film is memorable to him since he worked with foreign crew. He will also remember the beauty of South Africa. Though he enjoyed the good sceneries of other foreign land it was still hard for him to do the film since he's working alone as Filipino and misses his family. "Mahirap siyempre 40 days ka doon mag-isa ka lang na Pilipino, malungkot din pero nandoon ang trabaho mo na pag-uukulan mo ng atensyon so nakakapag-focus ka sa trabaho mo," explains Torre. "Surviving Evil" according to Torre might be shown before the end of the year. Torre also said that the movie will be released internationally. It might be first shown in London then to other foreign countries and eventually in his homeland. Torre also produced a digital film entitled "Ang Beerhouse," a sex-comedy movie that has a social commentary about prostitutes working in a beerhouse. The movie will be released this coming October. Cast of the film includes Gwenn Garci, Epi Quizon, Ryan Eigenmann, Tado, Ronnie Lazaro and theater artists. Torre who is know for his character as the country's national hero Jose Rizal, shared that up to now he's still dreaming to do the story of another national hero -- Juan Luna. "Ang dream project ko ay yung buhay ni Juan Luna, at kahit sino siguro pwede nating makasama, ang ano din is to direct my own movie, yun ang isa kong dream talaga," the actor said. The director-actor aside from doing independent films is also busy with his latest television series "Iisa Pa Lamang." "Mahirap, kasi foreman ako dito ako 'yung tatay ni Claudine at may sorpresa pa may inanakan ako na iba. Dito mabait ako pero lumalaban din dati kasi ang roles ko inaapi din, dito palaban din," Torre said. The actor said that he is really thrilled and honored to work for the series together with showbiz' big stars like Susan Roces, Cherry Pie Picache, Laurice Guillen, Gabby Conepcion, Diether Ocampo and Claudine Barretto. "Iba talaga ang kinuha nila ay yung mga subok ng artista, kapag titignan mo heavy casting," he added. He said that the series is different from other shows because of its characters. It portrays life of normal human beings. Torre said "Iisa Pa Lamang's plot is not one-dimensional, it has a very complex characters. "Hindi yung black and white characters lang. Torre aside from fulfilling various projects is also busy with his food business "JT's Manukan." It is a roadside stall along Sgt. Esguerra in Quezon City that according to food lovers serves the best chicken inasal (grilled) in town.
