Lovi PoeDiether Ocampo gets clean bill of health
MANILA – Actor Diether Ocampo has returned home after getting a clean bill of health from his doctors in the United States.
Last Saturday, Ocampo was rushed to San Antonio Community Hospital after suffering a seizure while rehearsing for the 17th anniversary concert of Star Magic in Ontario, California.
Ocampo, who went straight home from the airport after arriving Wednesday, assured that the incident was “nothing serious.”
“Nag-test kami, I had series of test with neurologist and the cardiologist just to make sure na walang problema. And lahat naman ng test na ginawa namin ay negative ang result," Ocampo, who is suffering from a heart condition called arrhythmia, told "SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon" in a phone interview.
The actor said lack of sleep and stress had probably caused the seizure. He said he was working nonstop before flying to the US for the Star Magic concert.
"Wala ako masyadong tulog then probably iba ang time zone pagdating ko sa Amerika. So medyo jet lag kaya nagkaroon ng ganoong epekto," the actor said.
He added: "I passed out so wala akong masyadong matandaan. Noong nagising ako ay nasa ospital na ako and then nandoon iyong brother ko. Later on, dumalaw ang ibang friends ko, then si Mr. Johnny Manahan and Tita Mariole (Alberto, Star Magic executive). Mas nag-worry ako kasi nakita ko ang mga text message sa akin."
The "Only You" star also apologized to all his Filipino fans who were expecting to see him in the US concert.
