Katrina: I am a victim every day
MANILA, Philippines – It’s like being violated over and over again, said sexy actress Katrina Halili of the moments she thinks of her sex video with celebrity doctor Hayden Kho being watched by the public.
“I know that I will carry this for the rest of my life. I will be dead and there will still be videos and Internet,” Halili said, adding she filed a case against Kho to redeem herself and stop him from practicing his medical profession.
“I loved Hayden. I was young so I was easily blinded to think that I was the only one who owned his heart. But like any relationship that began with lies, this did not go anywhere,” Halili said in her opening statement before the Senate committee on women, youth and family relations chaired by Sen. Jamby Madrigal.
She related how Kho tried to woo her by saying she had a “crush” on her after he did a liposuction on her in July 2007. Halili even laughed when she said Kho told her he had a “jologs (cheap)” notebook with her photograph as cover and that she was in the list of his long-time fantasies.
Halili said Kho even met her family and assured them that he was serious with her despite an open relationship with another popular cosmetic surgeon, Vicki Belo.
“I never thought that every embrace and kiss was scripted. I fully gave my heart and soul to a man who was doing his own movie,” a tearful Halili told the committee.
“I was so foolish, instead of a doctor, he was a director. I made a mistake and I admit it. My fault is that I loved him and I believed that he loved me too completely,” she said.
“He told me I was the princess in his other world. I was young so I was made to believe easily,” a sobbing Halili said.
Halili said Kho and his mother were even spreading lies against her despite the fact that she was the one abused and disrespected by the doctor. She pleaded to the public to stop patronizing sex videos so as to stop their proliferation.
Halili said she has been jobless since February when the scandal broke out and that she also lost an endorsement.
“Ang kapal ng mukha mo, nakakatingin ka pa ng ganyan (You’re shameless, you can still look at me like that),” Halili told Kho as she broke down after the latter claimed that it was she who flirted with him. She also called Kho “hayop (animal)” as he and his mother, Irene accused her of being a drug user and peddler.
