KC Concepcion's parents warn would-be suitors

MANILA – Would-be suitors of siblings KC Concepcion, 24, Simone Francesca Emmanuelle, 8, and Mariel Daniella Sophia, 4, beware.

As early as now, their parents – Sen. Francis Pangilinan and actress Sharon Cuneta – gave a stern warning to those who want to court their daughters in the future. 

“Mag-iingat sila kasi pag [nagkamali] sila, papatawag ko sila sa Senado,” Pangilinan told ABS-CBN News before breaking into laughter.

"Ako, gugutumin ko sila," Cuneta added in jest.

Cuneta stressed that she wants her daughters to be treated with respect, especially after they settle down.

“Take care of our daughters. Kung may problema sa mga anak namin, ibalik niyo sa amin, ako ang bubugbog. Huwag niyong murahin. Iyon ang ayoko, whatever abuse, in any form,” she said.

She also hoped that she and her future sons-in-law will get along well. “Ang hiling ko lang hanggang saan abutin, hanggang sa dulo ng daigdig, till the end of time, sana ang mga anak namin inilalapit sa amin. Ganoon din ang mga magiging apo namin.”

KC-Piolo love affair

KC, daughter of Cuneta and first husband Gabby Concepcion, is being courted by her latest leading man, actor Piolo Pascual. Cuneta is not opposing this, saying she approves of the hunk actor.

“I think he’s good for her.  I’d like the fact that he’s a Christian, he’s prayerful. Inaalagan niya si KC. When they’re together, never akong nagkakaroon ng anxiety,” she said.

She has no problem “at all” with Pascual, Cuneta added.

As for Pangilinan’s part, he said: “Kung sino ang gugustuhin ni KC nasa sa kanya na iyon. Twenty four na siya. Basta ang importante, rerespetuhin siya bilang babae.”

Marriage plans?

Meantime, KC said she is still too young to even contemplate marriage.

“I’m enjoying my work. I’m enjoying my teleserye, enjoying a lot of things na nangyayari sa life ko as a single girl. I’m  not talking about marrying, children. I’m not there yet,” she said.

KC added that she is focusing on her upcoming teleserye, “Lovers in Paris.”
