Krista Ranillo clears rumors on dating Aiko's ex-hubby
Actress Krista Ranillo cleared speculations that she went out on a date with actress Aiko Melendez’s estranged husband Martin Jickain.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Ranillo admitted that she had met Jickain in Boracay but stressed that it was not a romantic rendezvous.
"Hindi (kami nagde-date). I was there for two weekends kasi may event tayo (‘yong ABS-CBN, Velvet Channel and for Cinema One and then for MTV). Si Martin kasi, it so happened na friend siya ng taga-San Miguel na friend din namin," Ranillo explained.
She added: "Malaki naman ang Boracay. Nagkita lang kami ni Martin doon pero hindi naman planado ‘yon or anything. Hindi ko naman alam na pupunta siya because he is actually the gym buddy of my dad. And doon pa lang talaga kami sa Boracay nakapag-usap."
Krista, the daughter of seasoned actor Matt Ranillo, stressed that there was no secret plot to meet Jickain in one of the country’s hottest beach getaways. She also that said that she and Jickain are just friends.
Aside from the issue of dating Jickain, Ranillo also dismissed another rumor that a disc jockey (DJ) is now wooing her. She seemed clueless about where the report stemmed from.
"Sino nga? Hindi ko alam kung sino ang DJ. I think kasi noong nandoon kami sa Boracay kasama namin ‘yong DJs from Magic 89.9. Siyempre grupo-grupo kaming magkasama pero wala namang one-on-one na date. So ‘MR. DJ’ magpakilala ka," Ranillo said.
She also stressed that she had gone to Boracay for a work gig and for vacation.
Currently, Ranillo is gearing up for another television series.
